Today we went to the Centrale Market here in Florence, Italy. We were asked to cook an Italian meal, so we made Chicken Rotini. We headed to the market after class to gather up all the ingredients for tonights meal.
Some things I noticed about the market was that it is a very social place. The first floor is where you can find the fresh meats, spices and vegetables. The second floor has a food court and a sitting area throughout. The market is kept very clean, which I could imagine would be very hard to do considering the amount of people in and out. Something cool about Italians is that the buy fresh meat and produce each day for their meal. Unlike in America, where we stock up for two weeks and you’re good.
For our meal we teamed up as an apartment which includes my sister Chelsey, Marcola and Nikki. These are the ingredients we used and photos!
