Saturday we jumped on a bus and headed for Siena. Arriving in Siena reminded me very much of being home. The winding roads and hills of trees made me a little homesick. I do have to say, Siena is a beautiful city that I’m so happy to of had the chance to visit!
First, we had a walking tour of Siena and we were able to grab a caffè. We then went to Siena’s town hall, which is beautiful. Although, not as beautiful as Firenze; I have a soft spot. Our tour guide was so amazing, I love all of the stories and history we are given.
The paintings on the walls were stunning. It was a beautiful place to visit and hear the meanings behind the art. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take photos inside, but here are some from the outside.
We then left for an hour drive to a breathtaking vineyard. This was a family owned vineyard, I could only dream about seeing the views everyday. We then had a tour of the winery and learned about how the wine was made, aged and bottled. Below are some photos!
